Willington Hall Hotel
One of Cheshire’s hidden gems, the 17-acre grounds of Willington Hall Hotel feature idyllic private gardens that have been extensively restored with captivating views across the rolling Cheshire countryside for photogenic spots. The terraces allow visitors to soak up the tranquil setting and enjoy the panoramas. The interior has a country hotel aesthetic while retaining a welcoming private house feel. Sympathetically restored, it boasts original décor, chandeliers and a cascading staircase.
Vows are taken in one of five licensed spaces. The Gainsborough Room and The Richmond Room cater for groups of up to 75, both offering an elegant area with plenty of natural light. The Hamilton Ballroom is the largest offering, seating up to 200 guests in a classical space befitting of the period features of the hotel. Those who love the great outdoors can wed in The Orangery with its double doors leading on to the terrace or The Garden Temple, which offers an al fresco setting in the picturesque grounds. After the formalities, couples can choose to celebrate in The Richmond Room, The Orangery or The Hamilton Ballroom with a reception for up to 180 friends and family.
Brides and grooms will receive a complimentary menu tasting and wedding-night accommodation when their party book all other rooms. A personal event organiser will help with all aspects of the planning and a master of ceremonies will be available for the day. There’s even an on-site helipad for a truly grand entrance.
