We made it! Summer is here at last, and along with that comes wedding season. Many of you reading this will be putting together your last-minute preparations to celebrate the start of the next chapter of your life. On the other hand, lots of you will be picking up the magazine for the very first time to get inspiration for your wedding in 2019 and beyond. Wherever you are in your planning timeline, the upcoming pages are full to the brim with inspiration to help you create a day that truly reflects you as a couple.

Firstly, I can’t tell you how excited I am to show you the fabulous styled shoot we have on page 60. It totally appeals to my outdoorsy, animal-loving side with an abundance of chic woodland-inspired touches alongside a bow and arrow-wielding bride and birds of prey – yes really. Proving yet again that the best wedding days include the couple’s tastes and interests.

We all know that thanks to the Great British weather, summer in England doesn’t necessarily mean sunshine. That’s why we’ve turned to our local photographers on page 49 to showcase how you can capture incredible images whatever the weather – you may even end up wishing for wind and rain! Summer is the perfect time to focus on flowers. A staple of big-day décor, we look at the most showstopping blooms Mother Nature has to offer on page 55.

The Isla Gladstone Conservatory

Set in lovingly maintained grounds within Liverpool’s Stanley Park, The Isla Gladstone is a Grade II listed Victorian glasshouse and one of the city’s most recognisable buildings. Lovingly restored in 2007, the formal gardens, bandstand and original framework of the conservatory offer happy couples a picture-perfect setting for their nuptials.

Surrounded by idyllic rose gardens and sparkling lakes, the conservatory boasts natural light and clean white lines. It can hold up to 156 guests for a ceremony before spilling out on to its covered, elevated terrace for an al fresco drinks reception with sunset views.

Couples looking to say ‘I do’ outdoors can opt for the original bandstand, the only urban outdoor area in Liverpool where it’s possible to legally marry. Fully powered, it’s perfect for outdoor events and entertaining, while the surrounding green space is purposefully designed to accommodate two marquees. Wedding receptions are held for up to 400 family and friends. Complimentary menu tastings are available.
