Editor's letter

We made it! Summer is here at last, and along with that comes wedding season. Many of you reading this will be putting together your last-minute preparations to celebrate the start of the next chapter of your life. On the other hand, lots of you will be picking up the magazine for the very first time to get inspiration for your wedding in 2019 and beyond. Wherever you are in your planning timeline, the upcoming pages are full to the brim with inspiration to help you create a day that truly reflects you as a couple.

Firstly, I can’t tell you how excited I am to show you the fabulous styled shoot we have on page 60. It totally appeals to my outdoorsy, animal-loving side with an abundance of chic woodland-inspired touches alongside a bow and arrow-wielding bride and birds of prey – yes really. Proving yet again that the best wedding days include the couple’s tastes and interests.

We all know that thanks to the Great British weather, summer in England doesn’t necessarily mean sunshine. That’s why we’ve turned to our local photographers on page 49 to showcase how you can capture incredible images whatever the weather – you may even end up wishing for wind and rain! Summer is the perfect time to focus on flowers. A staple of big-day décor, we look at the most showstopping blooms Mother Nature has to offer on page 55.

The Oak Tree of Peover

The Oak Tree of Peover is a rustic barn venue, located in a 165-acre estate in the heart of Cheshire, offering total tranquillity in beautiful parkland.

The barn boasts oak beams and lots of natural light, making it bright and airy in the day, while subtle lighting gives the evening a magical, romantic feel. Guests can enjoy drinks in the bar area or on the surrounding terrace with impressive views.

The Acorn Lounge is licensed for civil ceremonies, and features a striking slate floor, large windows and exposed beams.

When tying the knot here, couples can get ready in the bridal suite, a quiet and spacious room. It’s the perfect place to get dressed prior to the ceremony and comprises a full-length mirror, dressing table and comfortable seating. As the day unfolds, it’s the perfect spot for the bridal party to freshen up or perhaps swap into some flat shoes ready for dancing the night away! The small, friendly team here truly love what they do and will go the extra mile for your special day.
