Expert Tips from Kate Shapland: How to Reduce Cellulite on Legs and Boost Lymphatic Health Naturally

"One of the biggest myths about cellulite is that it only forms on our thighs!  Cellulite can form anywhere – usually where there is a density of fat cells, like thighs, upper arms and buttocks, but also lower legs, as in your case, and tummies. Some of us even have cellulite on our backs!  Dealing with cellulite is understanding it. It forms, not because you're overweight, but because your body is not metabolising waste as efficiently as it should be. Your lymph, which travels all around the body and is your natural waste disposal unit, needs to be active to be clearing that congestion, which tends to collect in tissues in around fat cells, making you feel bloated and, by pushing the fat cells around, causing the surface dimples we know as cellulite.  

"Two products that will help to detox and tone up your lower legs are a body brush and deep drainage cream or oil. Both Air-Lite and Cellu-Lite, our cream and oil, will help with the drainage; apply either after body brushing. Some women use both, applying the cream over the oil to get quicker results. You can do a lot to improve the shape of your legs with a skin tint too. Our leg tint Sun-Lite contains the same contouring ingredients as Air-Lite, and an anti-fatigue benefit to prevent heel fatigue and leg swelling which often happens to those of us who suffer with fluid retention due to ineffective lymph performance due to gravity. Between now and your special day, try to do the following things too to support your lymph:

Activity: get more steps in every day (ideally no less than 10,000) to get your lymph pumping
Water: drink at least a 1.5 litre bottle daily to support detox and the lymph by diluting it so it’s easier for the body to process toxins
Diet: eat lean protein and plenty of green leafy veg; avoid starch/sugar and carbohydrates which encourage the body to hold onto fluid"
