Welcome to our very special 50th anniversary celebration issue! I’m feeling super-proud to be the editor of this milestone edition, and we’ve put together some exciting content with the help of the region’s marvellous wedding suppliers, which we hope you’ll love. The magazine launched as Your Merseyside Wedding magazine in 2012, as part of County Wedding Magazines’ ever-growing stable of hugely popular regional wedding titles, and in the summer of 2016, its beautiful neighbouring county was welcomed into the fold, to become Your Cheshire & Merseyside Wedding.
Firstly, I hope all of our readers have been keeping well during this surreal, unprecedented time. It would be hard for me to not mention the dreaded c-word, however, I admire how everyone, no matter how badly they have been effected, has come together to help and support one another. The tide will start turning, and we can all begin to re-plan cancelled weddings, re-book honeymoons and get back to our wonderful world of weddings – supporting local couples and businesses finding their feet again!

Leasowe Castle
Overlooking the idyllic Wirral coastline this historic property, offers ample opportunity for some stunning wedding photographs. The venue’s grounds also offer a luxurious setting with impressive sea views, and the beach just five minutes away.
The fairytale 16th-century castle itself boasts grand furnishings alongside authentic, historical charm. It’s ideal if you’re looking to tie the knot in a picturesque location. Leasowe Castle is home to five different venues, including the Keep, Star Chamber and Castle Suite. There are three suites licensed to hold civil ceremonies, including the romantic chapel setting, the Keep, located in the heart of the historic castle. Flooded with natural light, it has a solid oak floor, and can host 110 to witness your “I dos.” The Turret Suite accommodates 70 for your wedding breakfast and 110 for the evening. Finally, the larger Castle Suite has space for up to 200 diners and 240 revellers.
For a truly magical experience, Leasowe Castle allows couples to book the entire venue with its exclusive-use package. Your guests can also opt to spend the night in the hotel’s bedrooms having benefitted from a 20 per cent discount off of the best available rate at time of booking.
