Welcome to our very special 50th anniversary celebration issue! I’m feeling super-proud to be the editor of this milestone edition, and we’ve put together some exciting content with the help of the region’s marvellous wedding suppliers, which we hope you’ll love. The magazine launched as Your Merseyside Wedding magazine in 2012, as part of County Wedding Magazines’ ever-growing stable of hugely popular regional wedding titles, and in the summer of 2016, its beautiful neighbouring county was welcomed into the fold, to become Your Cheshire & Merseyside Wedding.
Although we’re getting on a bit now, we’re not as aged as the incredible historical venues we’ve rounded up on page 19 for you. Plus, there’re no less than three local shoots to be found in this issue, one of which features our lovely real bride, Ashleigh, from issue 48, and her horse, Riley (p58). Also, don’t miss our gold inspired page (p43).
If you’re wondering how to incorporate your chosen palette into your big day, certainly the most visually impressive place to start is with your flowers. So, we asked the region’s florists for inspiration based-on the most popular colour schemes, which you can find on page 53. And, if your W-day is on the horizon you might be looking for those all-important finishing touches, to complete your look. So, check out page 61 for our top tips on accessorising with sparkle and shine.
Happy planning one and all! | |

Timeless romance |

Arley Hall & Gardens
Arley is a beautiful and romantic venue whether you’re looking for somewhere for a grand wedding or a small and intimate celebration. It’s bursting with enormous character, charm and interest, and those who visit are often struck by the warm atmosphere of a family home.
The gardens, thought to be amongst the finest in Britain, are outstanding for their vitality, variety and historical significance, being particularly celebrated for the magnificent double herbaceous border. Plus, the impressive Quercus Ilex columns, avenue of pleached lime trees, and the furlong walk, fill these amazing gardens with great interest. They’ve been lovingly created over the last 250 years by successive generations of the same family and offer a blend of traditional design with modern ideas and additions.
Ceremonies can be held in the Hall, the gardens and in the Cruck Barn. The Hall can also play host your reception celebrations, as can the Olympia Building.
