Firstly, I hope all of our readers have been keeping well during this surreal, unprecedented time. It would be hard for me to not mention the dreaded c-word, however, I admire how everyone, particularly in our wedding industry, no matter how badly they’re affected, has come together to support one another. The tide will start turning, and we can all begin to re-plan postponed weddings, re-book honeymoons and get back to our wonderful world of “I dos” – supporting local couples and businesses finding their feet again.
This issue, will hopefully give you some light relief, and offer up some inspiration for your big days at the end of this year and beyond. So, turn to page 20 to find the start of our real weddings section. We have no less than four of our wonderful readers’ love stories to share with you this issue, so dive in and enjoy. If you are struggling to know which way is up with your planning right now, turn to page 53 where our experts share their advice on how to organise your wedding during the current crisis, even if that means you’ve sadly been forced to postpone.
I hope you’ll find something to make you smile amongst these pages. | |

Rookery Hall Hotel
Constructed in 1816, this country house has striking Gothic features such as mullioned, arched windows, enchanting carved pillars and detailed stonework, and the French château-style tower provides a stunning focal point as you approach.
Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa is set within in 38 acres of lush Cheshire countryside and is reached by a long, private, tree-lined drive. The outdoor terrace has romantic views of a lawn fountain, set within manicured gardens – a beautiful setting for open-air reception drinks.
The Wardle Suite with its floor-to-ceiling windows is filled with natural light, and has access to the outdoor terrace – it can host 120 guests for your ceremony. The Garden Pavilion also offers a magical setting for your al fresco county house vows with 140 guests. Head into the Worleston Suite post ceremony, when the Wardle Suite’s partition is removed. It can then accommodate 160 diners and 250 guests for the evening bash.
