September/October 2020 |
|
Welcome with open arms to another digital edition of Your Cheshire & Merseyside Wedding. Well, I think we can all safely say that 2020 hasn’t been the year any of us were expecting, but it’s certainly showed us what we’re all made of. So, whether you’ve decided to press ahead with your big day adapted to meet safety guidelines, or you’ve opted to hold fast in favour of a bigger bash, we hope you’ll find inspiration aplenty amongst these pages. There’s never been a right or wrong way when it comes to weddings, and now more than ever you must do what feels best for the two of you.
Dive into this issue for your regular dose of wedding joy. We have readers’ real wedding days to share with you from page 20, an A-Z guide to wedding day transport from page 45, and oodles of fashion and beauty from page 51. If, after all of that, you’re hankering for more wedspiration, don’t forget that our back catalogue is available for you to download absolutely free during this difficult time – just head over to www.yourcheshiremerseyside.wedding/free-download
Take care out there.

Out of the ordinary |
|
Oddfellows
The gorgeous Georgian townhouse façade of Oddfellows, set on a lovely Chester street, divulges nothing of the idiosyncratic and whimsical interior that awaits as you set foot inside. It’s a setting that’s ready and waiting for a fun and playful wedding.
The Secret Garden, set at the rear of the hotel, provides a magical setting for photography against seasonal planting, oversized lamps, water feature and outdoor fires. What’s more the beautiful city of Chester with its Tudor rows, Victorian and Georgian mansions, and Roman ruins, sits right outside the door.
Ceremonies and celebrations both take place in The Grown Up Rooms, a beautiful private event space that occupies the whole first floor. The space encompasses The Grown Up, The Grown Up Bar and The Roof Terrace. Here, you can welcome up to 60 loved ones for the vows and wedding breakfast, plus another 20 for the evening bash. For more intimate occasions, The Tea Rooms, where the table is on the ceiling, is ideal.
