The Racquet Club Hotel, Liverpool
Located in Liverpool's commercial district, the Racquet Club is perfectly positioned for local facilities. Close to the famous Liverpool Waterfront, it's a fabulous location for your wedding day. Built in 1859 by Sir James Picton it served as the headquarters for Sir William Brown, an American shipping merchant. It was designed in the style of an Italianate palazzo and has carved plaques above the windows including Isabella I who gave permission and funding for Columbus' voyage, Columbus, Spanish adventurer Bernejo, Vespucci, Cortez, Queen Anacoana and Fransisco Pizarro. The venue boasts eight bedrooms, each individually decorated in a mixture of traditional and contemporary styles. There's also a period events floor, which accommodates weddings and the restaurant benefits from large arched windows in a fantastic airy space with an intimate neighbouring bar. The Main Room, Club Room, private dining room, and restaurant are all available for ceremonies and receptions capable of holding between 24 and 138 guests. For evening revelries capacity is 250.
