At the end of 2020, award-winning hotel Carden Park launched its biggest social media giveaway to date aiming to restore some positivity following a difficult year. Recognising that Covid-19 has stolen many happy and life-changing moments from so many, the venue wanted to say a big “thank you” to its loyal guests as well as giving something back to the local community.

Across Carden Park Hotel’s Facebook and Instagram channels, the ‘Moments You Missed’ giveaway offered followers the chance to win 12 luxury staycations and visits to the luxury spa. Each prize was themed around the many occasions and experiences that may have been missed last year, including our beloved weddings. Week three was the one to look out for for brides and grooms, when they had the opportunity to win a bridal suite package.

Now that the hotel has drawn all 12 successful entrants, we can tell you that Finney Louise Sophie was the lucky winning bride. Sadly, she had her wedding postponed twice last year due to the pandemic, and was delighted to be named winner of the bridal package, which includes a bed and breakfast stay for two with an upgrade to a luxury suite. She says, “Winning this was so needed!”

Duncan Fortune, Head of Commercial at Tesco Bank, says: "Wedding season can be a significant expense for households. Planning ahead and setting a dedicated budget for celebrations can help spread the cost over several months, allowing people to make the most of the celebrations while keeping their finances on track."
