Forest Holidays Delamere Forest Lodge

Forest Holidays is getting ready to welcome guests back to Britain’s most beautiful forests, with 11 locations reopening from April, including the hotly anticipated new destination, Delamere Forest in Cheshire. A great spot for a close-to-home romantic minimoon amongst nature.

Home to a new collection of eco-sensitive cabins, Delamere Forest is set amidst the Cheshire Plain spanning 2,400 acres of broadleaf and evergreen trees. You can choose from stylish Hideaway cabins made for two, spacious treehouses, which sleep up to 10 and more, including the new White Willow Premium cabins exclusive to this particular location. These very special cabins feature an outdoor kitchen, complete with pizza oven, barbecue and drinks fridge, as well as floor-to-ceiling doors that open straight out onto the forest.

Delamere Forest itself offers a huge range of things to do from biking and walking trails to a Go Ape zipwire experience and one-of-a-kind activities provided by Cheshire Outdoors, including falconry and archery.

Prior to reopening, all cabins undergo Forest Holidays’ unique CleanAssure+ process, which includes and additional clean of cabin hotspots using BioGuard. Trained team members then lock and apply the CleanAssure+ door hanger to the cabin so you can feel reassured that no one has entered your cabin before you arrive.

Women want a personal engagement ring not an expensive one

New research suggests a shift in how women approach one of the most traditional luxury jewellery purchases, with 75% saying they want an engagement ring to prioritise personal meaning over size or value. A study of 1,353 UK women carried out by 77 Diamonds* found that 75% say they would prioritise a personalised engagement ring over a larger or more expensive diamond. What seems to stand out is not a complete rejection of convention, but rather a rebalancing and reassessment of value. 59% of women say their preference still leans towards traditional ready-made ring designs, and only 11% want an entirely custom-made piece But the emotional drive behind preferences and purchasing decisions does appear to be changing with 30% expressing a desire for rings that carry additional meaning through small modifications, engravings or design adjustments.
