New venue alert! The Lake House in Sefton

The Lake House in Sefton exterior

The Lake House Waterloo in the heart of Sefton, opened it's doors at the end of the summer in 2022. On New Year's Day, the team hosted their first wedding, which they managed to plan and deliver in just eight weeks. “This is very unusual for couples as they usually have a much longer lead time, but post-Covid many have really changed their outlook,” event sales manager Natalie Nixon tells us.

Since hosting its second wedding open day in the first week of January, the venue has seen a surge in wedding bookings, which for one still very much in its infancy is incredible and great to hear. “That weekend alone, we booked a staggering 15 weddings just for 2023, with other bookings made up until 2025 and beyond,” Natalie continues.

With stunning lake views and coastal scenery, The Lake House offers a one-of-a-kind and alternative venue for couples looking to wow and surprise their guests. At the same time, it offers the very best of local products along with affordable accommodation. Natalie finishes, “Great hospitality is what we do. We truly believe we can deliver over and above what our couples dream of for their big day.”

Duncan Fortune, Head of Commercial at Tesco Bank, says: "Wedding season can be a significant expense for households. Planning ahead and setting a dedicated budget for celebrations can help spread the cost over several months, allowing people to make the most of the celebrations while keeping their finances on track."
