Surrounded by 1,000 acres of breathtaking Cheshire parkland, wild deer, beautiful meres and ornamental gardens, Tatton Park is the perfect backdrop for weddings.

The 50 acres of landscaped gardens at Tatton Park are the product of almost 300 years of cultivation by the leading landscape architects of the time. As one of the most picturesque gardens in England, all areas provide their own atmosphere, plant and tree varieties, stunning seasonal views, and wildlife delights. Popular features for wedding photography include the beautiful Italian Terrace, 100-year-old Japanese Garden and historical glasshouses.

CEREMONY TO CELEBRATIONS

There’s a whole host of wedding spaces available for you from intimate to grand. Inside, the largest is Tenant’s Hall. With a vast display of Egerton hunting trophies, this is a versatile, licensed room, allowing you to adapt the space to accommodate anywhere between 50 to 350 guests for “I dos” and dining.

Al fresco, the Croquet Lawn has the same maximum capacity, where guests can sit and soak up the scenery provided by one of England’s most picturesque gardens, as you exchange your vows.

The Old Hall is a very special wedding venue, offering a magical, Medieval setting against a backdrop of ancient woodland. Considered Tatton Park’s hidden gem, you can choose to get married within the grounds of the Old Hall or hold your ceremony inside it or at the Cruck Barn. Here, you can host your wedding breakfast and evening reception in a marquee or tipi within the leafy grounds.

For intimate ceremonies and celebrations, Lord Egerton’s Apartment offers a charming setting and enjoys magnificent views of the Italian Terrace. This suite of rooms is licensed for ceremonies of up to 40 guests. It’s also adaptable for use as a bridal suite, wet weather drinks receptions for up to 80 loved ones, and formal dining for up to 40 nearest and dearest.

A further option for ceremonies only is the Mansion Entrance Hall. Once the state entrance hall for Lord Egerton’s guests, this room lends outstanding grace and elegance to your civil ceremony witnessed by 85 loved ones.

Experts Warn Against Using AI for Wedding Vows

Experts Warn Against Using AI for Wedding Vows

With peak wedding season approaching, experts are warning couples not to rely on AI to write one of the most personal parts of their big day – their vows. A survey by jewellers Queensmith has revealed that more than half (55%) of UK brides and grooms are now using AI tools to help write their wedding vows and speeches, raising questions about authenticity, originality and even potential legal grey areas. The findings come amid a growing debate around AI-written vows after a registrar in the eastern Netherlands saw a marriage called into question when AI was used to help write the ceremony script. In the case, the District Court of Overijssel ruled that "no marriage has been established" after it emerged the registrar had relied on ChatGPT to draft parts of the ceremony. The case has sparked wider concerns that AI-generated wording could unintentionally mirror existing vows or scripts found online, raising questions about originality and authenticity.
