THE “I DOS”

The venue is fully licensed for ceremonies, so you can book your registrar or civil celebrant and exchange vows in the stunning Winter Garden Suite or on stage in the theatre.

The Winter Garden Suite boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with light and offers your guests a spectacular view of the River Mersey. With a gorgeous panoramic coastal backdrop and the option to customise the space to your taste, it’s a memorable place to exchange your vows. It can host 50 to 300 loved ones.

If you’re looking for something different, a ceremony in the theatre will put you centre stage! Steeped in history, you can tread the same boards as Cilla Black, Ken Dodd, Jason Manford and Lulu as you exchange vows – an experience you and your guests will remember for lifetime! Here, 500 guests can witness your nuptials.

THE CELEBRATIONS

Receptions take place in the Winter Garden Suite for up to 300 loved ones. It’s a wonderful place to dine and celebrate, where guests can enjoy the sunset and party the night away. The suite can be extended based on your numbers (up to 300 for the wedding breakfast) to ensure the perfect atmosphere. It’s accessible via a private entrance, features a private bar area, large sprung wooden dancefloor, break-out area with comfy sofas, plus access to a terrace ideal for photos.

The Centre Stage package includes a private dining menu taster for two in the Tivoli Suite. All couples receive a complimentary Friends of the Floral membership with a show of your choice to celebrate your first anniversary.

Married to your surname? 26% of women are planning on keeping theirs

Lots of people are ditching traditions when it comes to modern weddings and marriage - one of which quickly losing favour is the tradition of taking your partner's surname. In a recent survey carried out by Pandora UK, almost nine in ten (88%) women said they think that attitudes to married names are changing in 2026 ¹. When asked, over a quarter (26%) of unmarried women said they'd keep their last name if they got married, whilst less than half (45%) said they'd take their partner's name. This is indicative of the shift in opinion in recent years, as when married women were asked, only a sixth (17%) of women said they kept their maiden names when they got married, whilst the majority (78%) took their partner's surname, with just 4% choosing to double-barrel their last name with their significant other.
