AESTHETICS DOCTOR REVEALS WHAT BRIDES AND GROOMS ARE REQUESTING BEFORE THEIR BIG DAY
- Dr Barbara Kubicka offers insights on pre-wedding aesthetic treatment must-haves, and it's not what you think -
What treatments should you be looking at before you get married?

Everyone wants to look their best on their wedding day, but what can you do before the makeup artist arrives to make sure you're glowing as you walk down the aisle? With the rise of the 'quiet luxury' trend and the 'old money' aesthetic, most nearlyweds want to look like themselves, just more elevated. Dr Barbara Kubicka, founder of Clinicbe® in London, shares the top five most requested treatments her brides and grooms are booking right now. Spoiler: they're all about refinement, not reinvention.

Dr Barbara Kubicka says: "The vision of a blushing bride or groom walking down the aisle to their beloved really paints a fairytale picture, and we're incredibly lucky to live in a time when aesthetic treatments can genuinely enhance that wedding glow. I love listening to my engaged clients' concerns and then presenting them with solutions that help them feel like the best version of themselves on their big day. It's not about going heavy with injectables. It's about letting your natural beauty shine through."
  1. Glowing, hydrated skin.
"Radiance is always the number one request for brides and grooms," says Dr Barbara. "Newlyweds-to-be want healthy, luminous skin that looks great with or without makeup. I recommend injectable skin boosters like Profhilo or polynucleotides, alongside medical-grade facials to treat concerns like acne, rosacea or dullness. These restore skin health from the inside out and help you achieve that lit-from-within glow."
  2. Subtle contouring and refinement.
Forget exaggerated filler. Today's clients are choosing light, photo-ready tweaks that enhance their natural features. "We see a lot of requests for gentle lip enhancement and jawline definition that still looks like you," says Dr Barbara. "The goal is balance and structure that reads well in photos without looking obviously tweaked."
  3. Prejuvenation and prevention
Younger clients are increasingly investing in skin quality early, with gentle baby Botox to soften fine lines while preserving natural expression. "We're not aiming for a frozen face. The goal is to look fresh and rested," says Dr Barbara. "It's ideal for long wedding days and candid photos."
  4. Body confidence boosts
"Treatments for the neck and jawline are especially popular among those wearing strapless or low-cut outfits," says Dr Barbara. "We use Aqualyx to target small pockets of fat, or radiofrequency microneedling and Endolift to tone and tighten the jaw and neck. These offer subtle lift with minimal downtime."
  5. Holistic prep
"One of the biggest trends we're seeing is demand for hyperhidrosis treatment, especially for underarms or facial sweating," says Dr Barbara. "Many people worry about sweat marks on shirts or makeup sliding off. A small dose of Botox can keep you dry and confident throughout the day."
