As visitors pass through the magnificent gatehouse and sweep up the long drive they take in stunning views of the idyllic Cheshire countryside before being greeted by the breathtaking sight of the medieval-style castle.

This venue is steeped in history, the captivating architecture and enchanting interiors mean couples can have their own fairytale wedding surrounded by open fires, marble floors and vaulted ceilings.  

Time to celebrate!
There are a number of ceremony and reception spaces to choose from, including the Drawing Room, which is a grand yet warm area decorated with red velvet curtains, chandeliers and tapestries. The Great Hall is a grand room ideal for larger parties to witness the ceremony and enjoy a delicious feast. The Hexagonal Suite boasts the Tollemache family grace engraved in to the vaulted stone ceiling.

For more intimate gatherings, The Library is a romantic and personal setting. The Wine Cellar is tucked away at the heart of the castle, its decorated ceiling creating a beautiful ambience.

Exclusive-use weddings receive complimentary menu tastings, an executive bedroom for the night before and the bridal suite for after the day’s festivities. Couples getting hitched on Friday, Saturday or Sunday from May to October will benefit from a complimentary master of ceremonies and a meal for two in the 1851 restaurant.
