We talk jewellery trends with Merseyside's Catheralls: Image 1

We asked Merseyside's Catheralls jewellers what trends to expect for 2019...

"The trends this year have started with a strong influence towards ladies diamond-set bands," says Adrian. "We've seen many varied setting styles including channel set - holding the diamonds either side and making it appear like they are floating.

"Pave set gives a touch of the vintage feel, where the diamonds are set into the metal with fine bead claws and sometimes framed with beading to give the retro look.

"Four-claw settings are a new and modern style and are proving very popular. It shows the diamonds off to match complementing engagement rings.

"Gents' styles vary on profile but are mostly 6mm bands in choices of pattern. A simplistic approach seems to be the vibe."

Catheralls have been creating wedding rings and making dreams come true for over 65 years now with bespoke, handmade, traditional designs.
