November/December 2019 |
|
My editor’s letter this issue should carry a warning. I’m more than a little bit excited that Christmas is on the horizon and we’ve approached the time of year where my fever pitch obsession with it starts to get unbearable. Just ask the rest of the CWM team! As a Christian it’s not really about the presents for me, although if someone were kind enough to pop a little something under the tree I wouldn’t complain. No, it’s the reason for the season and the joy it brings. That’s why I absolutely adore it when couples choose this time of love to express their own and make their commitment to each other, like real wedding couple Natasha and Sam who said “I do” on 27th December. Find out more about their day on page 37. Plus, you’ll find a roundup of winter wonderland venues on page 23.
There are also some stunning styled shoots for you to feast your eyes on, taking inspiration from the swinging ‘60s and the versatility of a pastel palette. You won’t want to miss them over on pages 48 and 63.
We absolutely love the variety of backdrops our gorgeous region provides, from the iconic urban to the breathtaking rural. We talked to local photographers to find out how to make the most of these timeless vistas in your wedding shots. Flick to page 53 for our pick of these jaw-dropping images.
Without any further ado I welcome you to this, the last issue of 2019, and hope you enjoy! | |

Talhenbont Hall
Talhenbont Hall is a recently renovated historic 17th-century Elizabethan manor house with a stunning Grade II listed coach house. The latter features a custom-made bar built by owner Paul Good and retains many original features alongside the more modern.
The impressive hall stands amongst beautiful privately owned grounds boasting ancient woodland, beautiful gardens, and The River Dwyfach, which runs through the estate, so you’ll never be short of a stunning photographic backdrop. Also located on site are five cottages providing accommodation for 42 of your nearest and dearest. Plus, there’s a food and wine tasting included in your package price.
