There’s nothing better than the first time you step out of the office at 5.30pm and it’s still light. Couple that with birds chirping in the trees and flowers starting to bloom and it truly feels like the last grips of winter have passed and spring has officially sprung. In other words, wedding season is almost upon us! This is particularly exciting for me as this year I will be chief bridesmaid to my best friend, Charlie. After what has seemed like an age of planning, the day is just around the corner and I couldn’t be more excited! Turn to page 86 to find out more.

Leasowe Castle
This fairytale-style property boasts impressive vistas across the idyllic Wirral coastline. The lush grounds and grand 16th-century façade provide remarkable photo opportunities with sea views, rolling lawns and a red-carpet arrival. The castle’s interiors feature grand furnishings coupled with authentic rustic charm.
The castle is home to five different venues for celebrations with up to 250 guests and three spaces are licensed for ceremonies: The Turret Suite, The Castle Suite and The Keep. The Keep is a newly opened chapel setting located at the heart of the castle. Filled with natural light, this romantic spot has pew seating for 110 guests and solid oak flooring. Brides and grooms may wish to say their vows on the outdoor pergola during the warmer months.
For a truly magical experience, the venue can be hired on an exclusive-use basis, allowing couples to be the kings and queens of the castle for the day. To continue the merriment, partygoers can stay in the recently refurbished bedrooms and enjoy breakfast with the newlyweds the following day. Couples who book the Twilight Wedding package can enjoy a double room for their first night as a married couple and their loved ones can book one of 10 discounted rooms for the wedding party.
