September/October 2019

This year is whizzing by. I’m excited to have reached my favourite season and dare I mention the C word? So, it’s in tribute to this wonderful time of year and its rich colour palette that we’ve put this issue together. Check out the gloriously autumnal styled shoot on page 62 and our experts have some tips on planning your fall wedding over on page 71.

There’s heaps of character in our region, which is mirrored in many of its gorgeous wedding venues. That’s why we decided to take a look as some of these cool and quirky locations for nuptials bursting with charm – check out page 25. Speaking of quirky, take a gander at the brilliant Dark Alice shoot on page 53. I’m a fan of any departure from the traditional. I love it when our region’s talented suppliers think outside of the box and really go for it. So, this was one styled shoot I really had to share with you.

If you’ve settled on a colour palette for your big day you may well be wondering how to weave it in to your venue styling in a balanced way. Our experts are on hand to offer inspiration whatever the hue as we go over the rainbow on page 57.

I’ll leave you to it now and hope you enjoy this issue as much as I’ve loved putting it together.

Happy planning, one and all!

Oddfellows

The gorgeous Georgian townhouse is set on one of the loveliest streets in Chester, only moments from the River Dee. Its interior is delightfully idiosyncratic and whimsical, where nothing is as it seems.

The Secret Garden is set at the rear of the hotel and provides a magical setting for photography against seasonal planting, oversized lamps, water features and outdoor fires.

The Grown Up Rooms are a set of beautiful private event spaces occupying the whole first floor and encompassing The Grown Up, The Grown Up Bar and The Roof Terrace (60 ceremony, 60 dining, 80 reception guests).
