We caught up with the fabulous Laura Heywood to find out about her new company Lucky Nibs Design...

- What do you offer wedding couples?

Lucky Nibs provides personalised & unique place cards, table plaques and wedding signage. We use materials that range from agate crystal slices, real magnolia leaves, natural iridescent capiz shells, birch-wood discs & pretty perspex plaqu - all adorned with hand-written modern calligraphy. We also have lots of exciting newness coming in autumn!

- When did your business launch?

Lucky Nibs launched earlier this year in the North West.

- What is your background?

I come from a creative background having spent more than 13 years in the fashion industry as a knitwear designer. During my maternity leave, I was looking for a creative outlet and that's when I discovered my passion for modern calligraphy. So, fuelled by copious amounts of tea, a ridiculous number of biscuits and a lifelong love of doodling, Lucky Nibs Design was born.

- What's your favourite part of working in the wedding industry?

I adore being able to help my couples add that sprinkle of something extra special on their big day. Personalising table number signage to their favourite albums, places of travel or even their favourite Disney films!

- What makes your business unique?

I am inspired by things of natural beauty - shells, leaves & crystal slices. These also make lovely keepsakes for your wedding guests and double up as a unique place card and personalised favour in one.
